Poachers Inn Head Shave & Auction raises over £2000 for Cornwall Hospice Care
The total figure raised at a local harvest festival at the Poachers Inn in roche has been finalised.
Brian Capel from Penwithick, is a local at the pub in Roche and he had put himself up to have his hair and beard shaved off to contribute to the pubs efforts to raise money for cornwall hospice care, know to many as Mount Edgcumbe Hospice.
In total with Brian’s kind gesture and the charity auction the pub and the help of the local community raised over £2000.
Pub landlord Simon Jones said the generosity of the locals has surpassed all expectations and many thanks to all those who helped on the night.
